Sister Deb Riley is my hero! She sent me a picture of Elder Johnson and Elder Sommerville!
Hey everyone! Have I mentioned I miss you? oh, well just in case, I MISS YOU! How is everything at home going? Also, I am still sick but also still having a blast. Been able to do a lot of progress and meet with a lot of people. Sadly one of our investigators is doing everything but coming to church so we may have to move her baptismal date back. I'm super tired and busy but love every minute of it. We have grown very close with this ward and this town. Yesterday we had a kinda movie night with the ward missionaries, less-active members and bishop tanner. We watched meet the mormons and it was great! Good food and great people, all thanks to Sister Riley opening her house to people. I don't know much else to say, Just keep us in your hearts and prayers so we can help serve those in this area. If you all want to send some letters as well, I'll allow it haha. With love, Elder Sommerville oh yeah.... I almost forgot! We saw and went int...
Okay, so I don't have much time. I'll better plan my emailing hour next week and do this first but here goes. I'm in Gallup, New Mexico for my first area with Elder Johnson. Sadly we did not get any pictures yet. I love my companion, area, and ward. Everyone is so nice and caring and our dinner schedule is already practically full! Me and Elder Johnson, in an effort to save money and lose weight are dieting together, which is hard with all the dinners but we'll figure it out. It hasn't snowed yet which bugs me a bit but I suppose is alright. I'll allow it for now. anyways, I was sick last week, got over it on the way to new mexico, and first night got super sick again so I'm trying to fight off a cough now but thats okay because i'm mostly past the sickness. Been working hard, not hardly working. Met a lot of people and love each one of them. have been teaching one lady named Valerie and her kids and just broke through to her boyfriend when the next m...
I am sadly leaving the wonderful city of Gallup NM, and going up to Farmington NM. I am sure Farmington will be great. But I know I will severely miss Gallup 1st ward. So many wonderful families and people in this town. I'm going to miss everyone so much. I will let you all know my mailing address next week because I don't have it yet. So, this has been an interesting week. Someone who seemed like a kind promising investigator flipped the script when we came back for a lesson, cussed us out, slammed the door and threw the Book of Mormon we gave him at us. It was sad and shook me and elder Johnson. We hope he is okay and that he forgives us for whatever we may have done. the Chuska mountain elders got threatened by a couple people so they came to Gallup and we had a sleepover haha. Also, Winter is finally here haha yet, most the snow is beginning to melt away now. And, I finally brought the camera for pictures!!!! so pics in next email! Love, Elder Sommerville
