My 3rd Week and Christmas

Image
Okay, so Christmas was great, I probably gained about 5 lbs yesterday though. it was not a white christmas but it did snow a few days before. I've been working hard. in fact every hour of today we have something scheduled so I'm not sure how that's going to work out. I am super busy and tired always but love every minute of it. I've become close friends with a lot of families here, and 3 families got me and elder johnson gifts which was unexpected. I got to skype my family yesterday and loved every bit of it. However, I wish I had more time. I took a couple pictures and will work to take more i the future. Also, don't hesitate to send letters or emails. I love getting them. Jay has her baptism date set for the  14th of february ! I'm super excited for her and are just waiting for keisha to say a date. oh, also Elder Johnson barfed in a members home on  the way out of the door haha. it was interesting. he isn't sick anymore and I have been feeling pretty go...

Splits (companions & wood) and NAVAJO TACOS!!

Soooo, this week was great. We went on splits for a day and I went to the res with Elder Robison, he is great and we got to chop wood for two hours which I actually really loved doing. He challenged me to break this huge long in 3 swings and i split it in half with one haha. Also, I had Navajo taco's for the first time and fell in love, they are so good! It's been a great week over all, sadly still no pics. I keep forgetting. We have two people hopefully on there ways to being baptisms, so prayers for Jay and Keisha! The more I get to know my ward the more I love them! They are so great, brother Hansen, brother Connell, and brother Wilkey(who is moving to saint George soon) are probably my favorites. Me and my companion have been working out every morning, if I don't throw up.. Brother Wilkey says it's probably altitude sickness, he says when he moved here it took him a couple months to get use to the altitude and not be sick anymore. Hopefully it doesn't take that...

First Week in the Field!

Okay, so I don't have much time. I'll better plan my emailing hour next week and do this first but here goes. I'm in Gallup, New Mexico for my first area with Elder Johnson. Sadly we did not get any pictures yet. I love my companion, area, and ward. Everyone is so nice and caring and our dinner schedule is already practically full! Me and Elder Johnson, in an effort to save money and lose weight are dieting together, which is hard with all the dinners but we'll figure it out. It hasn't snowed yet which bugs me a bit but I suppose is alright. I'll allow it for now. anyways, I was sick last week, got over it on the way to new mexico, and first night got super sick again so I'm trying to fight off a cough now but thats okay because i'm mostly past the sickness. Been working hard, not hardly working. Met a lot of people and love each one of them. have been teaching one lady named Valerie and her kids and just broke through to her boyfriend when the next m...
